Safety <br />Natural Soda LLC and Daub & Associates, Inc. are committed to safe workplace practices and <br />compliance to Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The following policies must be <br />accepted and adhered to by all employees, associates and clients. <br />• Gerry Deschaine (Risk & Sustainability Superintendent) with Natural Soda (888-464-7632 <br />ext. 125) needs to meet with all personnel working on the drilling programs located on the NS <br />Lease before the start of the projects to go through a Reguired NS Safety Briefing. <br />• All persons working on the Natural Soda Property must attend a NS Safety Briefing, no <br />exceptions. <br />• Daub, Drilling Companies, and all Third party contractors will need to keep Mr. Deschaine in <br />the loop on arrival of new crews to NS, so that they can be briefed. <br />• All personnel staying in the onsite man camp will all be under the same rules as the <br />production well crews, no drugs, no alcohol, no firearms or ammunition, and no pets. <br />• Back in parking will be preferred, and normal rules of courtesy about limiting noise are to be <br />followed. <br />• All personnel will follow the rules and regulation set forth in the Conditions of Approval (COA) <br />by the BLM and the County of Rio Blanco. <br />• All personnel will conduct themselves in a professional manner. Harassment of any type is <br />not allowed and will not be tolerated by management. Harassment includes any verbal or <br />physical conduct that interferes with an individual's work performance or creates an <br />intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment. <br />• Report accidents and injuries immediately to authorities/management as required by the <br />Program and regulations; ensure that all operations comply with both the law and the <br />Program. <br />• The use of illegal drugs, controlled substances, alcohol, fireworks, ammunition or firearms is <br />prohibited during work activities (including the Man Camp Location) and will result in <br />immediate dismissal. Use of prescription or over-the-counter drugs that may impair your <br />ability to work should be reported to NS/ Daub management. <br />• No Dogs or Pets will be allowed in or around Rig working areas or at the Man Camp. <br />• Proper PPE must be worn in or around drilling operation work areas at all times. Hard Hat, <br />Gloves, Eye Protection, Ear Protection, Steel Toe Boots, Long/Short Sleeve Shirts, High <br />visibility vest/outer layer, Long Pants, Coveralls are optional but approved. <br />• Good housekeeping is necessary to maintain a safe working environment. All walking/work <br />areas, equipment, tools, fire extinguishers and safety materials shall be kept clean and in <br />working order. Tools should be kept in good working condition, placed appropriately as to not <br />cause a hazard, promptly stored after use and replaced if defective. <br />• Smoking is only allowed in designated areas. Food should be stored separately from <br />chemicals and eaten in designated areas. <br />• Adverse weather conditions can present a risk to site health and safety. Daub expects that <br />good judgment and common sense be used during periods of adverse weather. Site specific <br />severe weather plans and driving rules shall be reviewed by all individuals. <br />• Visitors to location should be identified, signed in and escorted. <br />• All persons associated with the project are subject to prosecution for knowingly disturbing <br />paleontological or archaeological sites, or for collecting artifacts or fossils. If artifacts or fossil <br />materials are uncovered during any project or construction activities, the operator is to <br />immediately stop any activities in the immediate area of the find that might further disturb <br />such materials, and immediately contact the supervisor or authorized officer. <br />Daub & Associates, Inc.
