Public Notice
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado
Revised Statutes, hereby issues notice that on June 23, 2016, a minor revision application(MR-300)to the
Foidel Creek Mine, Permit No. C-1982-056, operated by Twentymile Coal, LLC, 29515 Routt County
Road No. 27, Oak Creek, CO 80467 was considered complete for the purposes of filing. Twentymile
Coal, LLC. is proposing to modify their existing washplant to add an additional crusher within the existing
washplant building. Installation of this additional equipment will require extension of the building
foundation on the southeast corner of the washplant; construction of a building extension for maintenance
access to the new crusher, construction of two additional support piers, a 20-foot extension of the existing
electrical room, and a new metal walkway and stairs; and construction of an additional concrete support
pad and containment structure for an additional electrical transformer, The planned foundation and
building extensions will be within the existing washplant disturbance area and drainage and sediment
control system so no new additional surface disturbance is required. The Division will evaluate the
necessary liability increase associated with the washplant modification. The applicant is not proposing
additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. All reviews and
comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of
filing.
Posted June 23, 2016
C-MR-03
