LIIINewmont Mining Corporation ""
Cripple Creek&Victor Gold Mine
Squaw Gulch VLF CCW
NewFields Job No.475.0106.006
Week Ending Saturday,June 4,2016
1.0 EARTHWORKS
1.1 Underground Working Remediation
r Confirmatory drilling was performed to a depth of 50-feet at the upper Anaconda Mine
Complex. NewFields personnel observed drilling activities and noted any voids that were
encountered. Further remediation is required.
1.2 Structural Fill
Structural Fill placement continued within the Squaw Gulch VLF Phase 1 and 2 footprints.
NewFields personnel inspected fill material and observed placement and compaction
procedures to ensure that they were in accordance with the project technical specifications.
Ambient temperatures remained above 32 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the shift. The
following structural fill construction activities occurred during the shift:
Slope rough grading (cut to fill) in areas bounded by bench stations:
o S34+00 to S38+00 and M28+00 to M32+00
o M40+00 to M42+00 and S46+00 to S48+00
Slope rough grading (cut to stockpile) in areas bounded by bench stations:
o 128+00 to 132+00 and Haul Road
y Slope rough grading (cut and hauled to fill) in areas bounded by bench stations:
o K32+00 to K38+00 and Haul Road
• Fill placement in areas bounded by bench stations:
o L6+00 to L10+00 and Haul Road
o S46+00 to S50+00 and M40+00 to M42+00
• Fill Placement (hauled from Low Volume Reject Stockpile) in areas bounded by bench
stations:
o M42+00 to M46+00 and S47+00 to S52+00
➢ Compaction was achieved using a smooth drum roller.
• An excavator equipped with a hammer attachment broke up oversized material to a
nominal size less than 24-inches so that it could be placed as structural fill per project
specifications.
Page 2
