Box 467 <br />Golden, Colorado 80402 <br />Re: Facility Response to the Division's April 26, 2016 Request for Information Addressing the 2015 Annual <br />Hydrology and Reclamation Report <br />Keenesburg Ash Disposal Facility <br />SW/WLD/C00 4.3 <br />Mr. Moline, <br />The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (the "Department") Hazardous Materials and Waste <br />Management Division (the "Division") received the following response to the Division's April 26, 2016 <br />correspondence (the "Response") addressing the 2015 annual report for the Coors Energy Company Keenesburg Ash <br />Disposal Facility (the "Facility") located at 13495 Weld County Road 61, 7 miles northwest of Keenesburg, <br />Colorado. <br />Response to Comments on 2015 Annual Report Kennesburg Ash Disposal Facility. Prepared by: <br />Doty and Associates. Document dated: June 2, 2016. Document received: June 6, 2016. <br />The Division reviewed the submitted Response pursuant to 6 CCR 1007-2, Part 1, the Regulations Pertaining to <br />Solid Waste Sites and Facilities (the "Regulations"). <br />Based on this review the Division considers items 1, 3, and 7 closed provided the information is presented in future <br />annual groundwater monitoring reports. <br />Item #2 is being addressed and will be submitted under a separate cover. Please submit the answer via e-mail by <br />no later than June 17, 2016. <br />Items #4, 5, 6, and 8 remain open. The Division requests a meeting with the Facility by no later than July 28, 2016: <br />to: <br />a) address items 4, 5, 6, and 8 in more detail; <br />b) discuss discrepancies identified in the April 9, 1998 Groundwater Monitoring Plan (the "Plan"); and <br />c) discuss the preparation of an updated groundwater monitoring plan. <br />Item #1: This item was addressed through the submittal of two potentiometric surface maps, one dated April 2015 <br />and the second dated September 2015.
