Mine (Pernut No. C 1982.056) Notice of Revision Appltcation, Minor Revision 296 (MZ296) <br />(I IC #67400) <br />Dcar Mr. Ebcrt: <br />'111ank you for dour email correspondence dated and received Flat' 9, 2016 initiating consultation for the above <br />referenced undertaking pursuant to Section 106 of the National I listonc Preservation Act and its implementing <br />rcgulauons 36 CI -R part 800. <br />We understand that the undertaking proposes to install, operate, and reclaim two new bore holes and includes <br />supplemental arca. needed for .►tees., uuhtic--, and backdirt stockpiling. Alitle three potential borehole~ <br />locations or pads were included within dour email notification, we understand from our telephone <br />conversation of May 17,1, that onli Opuons I and 2 are currently being considered for development. As the <br />potential conflicts a.sociated with Option 3 NVith site 5R'13325 vas dropped, and in consideration of the <br />infornia6on that we current\ have on file for the area of potential effects, it is our opinion that the undertaking; <br />will result in no histone properties affected pursuant to 36 CI7R 800.4(d)i; l). <br />W'e request being invo\•ed in the consultation process with the local government, which as stipulated in 36 Cl'R <br />800.3 is required to be notified of the undertaking, and ,�vitli other consulting parties. Addidonal information <br />provided by the local government or consulting parties might cause our office to re-evaluate our efigibihtl and <br />potential effect fuiduigs. Please note that our compliance letter does not end the 30 -day review period provided <br />to other consulting parues. <br />Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered in the course of the undertaking, work must be <br />interrupted until the resources have been e%aluated in terms of the National Register eligibility criteria (36 CI•R <br />60.4) in consultation with our office pursuant to 36 CFR 800.13. Also, should the consulted -upon scope of the <br />work change please contact our office for continued consultation under Secuon 106 of the National Historic <br />Preservation Act. <br />We thank you for die opporn►niti to comment.
