In addition to the inspector and Operator Representative listed above, Amy Yeldell DRMS was
present during the inspection. The Division currently holds a financial warranty in the amount of$8,649.00 for
the site. The Division has reviewed the reclamation cost estimate based on current site conditions and
determined the current financial warranty is not sufficient to achieve reclamation. Enclosed with this report is
a Notice of financial warrant increase and the reclamation cost estimate worksheets. Five photos accompany
this report to illustrate current site conditions.
Proper Mine Identification signage is posted on the access road to the site, seen in Photo One, and the permit
boundaries are clearly marked with red surveyor's tape. An example of the red surveyor's tape can be seen in
Photo Two. The site was active during the inspection and no equipment was observed during the inspection.
The majority of the material being excavated from the site is road base, being used on the extensive roads of
the Continental Divide Ranch as well as large boulders for river restoration and other projects. Photo Three
shows a large stockpile of material that is drawn from as needed. Photo Four shows an example of the large
boulders located on site. A larger stockpile of boulders exists on the Western end of the permitted area. A
large topsoil stockpile is located on site, and appears to be stable. Photo Five shows the stockpile, which is
located adjacent to the access road. The permitted area consists of 4.5 acres and all disturbance is contained
within the permitted boundaries.
Throughout a majority of the site, grasses and other native species have begun to revegetate the areas that
are unused. No noxious weeds were observed during the inspection. The Operator expressed that noxious
weed management is ongoing. Some miscellaneous equipment was onsite, including a water trough, water
haul tank and a few wood pallets. The items are in good condition and stored in an orderly fashion. The
Operator identified the items were being stored temporarily.
The overall footprint of the site was in good condition, and was free from trash and debris. No problems or
possible violations were observed during this inspection.
