21. Presubsidence surveys were conducted prior to temporary cessation of mining. Only
development mining has been conducted with no subsidence. Upon scheduling
resumption of mining, the subsidence monitoring plan will be reviewed, revised if
necessary, and complied with.
22. The error in Table 21 has been corrected. Culvert C5 was always listed as 60"and a
misprint may- have occurred in reformatting the Table for TR -68. C78 was removed
when the auxiliary access road to the West Portal was reclaimed in 2005.
23. Culvert C 14 has been added to Table 21.
24. Culverts 17B and 17C are temporary culverts installed only when operations require
crossing the ditch and have now been so designated in Table 21. C 17 has been
extended on Map 13 to show connection to C 19.
25. The C 19 label has been restored to Map 13.
26. Culvert C64 will be surveyed and Map 13 adjusted accordingly.
27. Ditches D15, D32, D3 2A and D3 2B are intentionally larger than peak flow in these
ditches would require. When the plant 's operating and the plant feed stockpile is in
place, it is difficult to access these ditces for routine maintenance. Being large than
design criteria allows flexibility in sch duling maintenance.
28. Alternative designs for D61 are being evaluated. This may include the addition of
one or more culverts along the run of D61 to reduce peak flow.
29. Map 13 will be revised to correctly plot D67. The modification of D67 during the
upgrade of the RDA access road to that of a haulroad (TR -66) and the extension of
D67 eliminated the culvert. It will be removed from Map 13.
This is the second of what NECC believes will be three submittals. This one responding
to the third adequacy letter; and the final submittal to update and correct the facilities
maps, provide a redesign of Ditch D61, and respond to any new issues that may arise.
Please contact me with any questions,
Re ards, ^
-A
Ron Thompson
Agent
