COLORADO <br />Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />19 May 2016 <br />David Lazorchak <br />BLM Gunnison Field Office <br />210 West Spencer Avenue <br />Gunnison, Colorado 81230 <br />Re: Ohio Creek Mine No. 2 (Permit No. C1980002) <br />Bond Release Application (SU) <br />Dear Mr. Lazorchak: <br />This letter, as required by Rule 3.03.2(1) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, is to inform you that the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division) has begun the process of terminating its jurisdiction over the Ohio Creek Mine. This notice was <br />published in the Gunnison County Times. <br />The Ohio Creek Mine is a formerly permitted coal mining operation located in Gunnison County, <br />approximately 15 miles northwest of Gunnison, Colorado. The Ohio Creek Mine was operated by Robert <br />Weaver. The Mined Land Reclamation Board revoked the operating permit and forfeited the reclamation <br />bond in 1996.
