Newmont Mining Corporation ■ <br /> Cripple Creek&Victor Gold Mine ■ <br /> Squaw Gulch VLF CCW <br /> NewFields Job No.475.0106.006 <br /> Week Ending Saturday,April 30,2016 <br /> 0 120+00 to 124+00 and K18+00 to K22+00 <br /> ➢ Fill placement (hauled from stockpile/cut) in areas bounded by bench stations: <br /> o M28+00 to M40+00 and S34+00 and S48+00 <br /> ➢ An excavator equipped with a hammer attachment broke up oversized material to a <br /> nominal size less than 24-inches so that it could be placed as structural fill per project <br /> specifications. <br /> ➢ Compaction of Structural Fill was achieved using a smooth drum roller. <br /> 1.3 Subgrade <br /> Subgrade was accepted and approved for geogrid installation at UG#6679/UG#6471. <br /> 1.4 Leak Detection Trench <br /> The Phase 1 leak detection trench was constructed between stations H18+00 and H24+00. <br /> 1.5 Soil Liner Fill (SLF) <br /> SLF processing continued at the Dump 1 processing plant. Approximately 123,422 dry tons of <br /> material has been processed as of Saturday, April 30, 2016. <br /> 1.6 Drain Cover Fill (DCF) <br /> Drain Cover Fill was placed using two low ground pressure dozers. An existing DCF haul route <br /> was pushed up the slope in the area below stations HM10+00 to HM15+00 and HM6+00 to <br /> HM7+00. Ambient and fill material temperatures were monitored and recorded during fill <br /> placement to ensure that no frozen material was placed. The attached figure shows the area <br /> where fill was placed during this reporting period. <br /> 2.0 GEOSYNTHETICS <br /> 2.1 Geogrid <br /> Approximately 7840 square feet of geogrid was placed for the first layer at UG#6679/UG#6471. <br /> 3.0 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br /> Best Management Practices continued to be performed. <br /> Page 3 <br />
