Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of teh GEC Mine conducted by Jim Stark of the Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety. Jeff Fugate,with the Attorney General's Office,was present on the inspection. <br /> His presence was not in relation to the GEC Mine but he with me to look at the Southfield Mine,which is adjacent <br /> to the GEC Mine. The GEC Mine is a revoked site that has been reclaimed. The weather was warm and sunny <br /> and the ground was dry. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03: Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance <br /> 4.03.1(5)and(6)/4.03.2(5)and(6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> -The road that runs through the East Pit, along the Southfield Mine disturbance boundary,had some ruts but <br /> appeared to remain stable. The upper portion of this road, at the south edge of the East Pit,had some minor <br /> erosional problems but also appeared to remain stable. <br /> -The road to the Orphan Pit and tipple area(the Corley Mountain Ranch Road)was not driven at during the <br /> inspection. The beginning of the road was viewed from the county road. It was in good condition and appeared to <br /> be stable. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> -There was good vegetative cover in the West Pit. The area was mostly stable,with some rilling evident. <br /> -The Orphan Pit was viewed from the county road. The vegetative cover was good. There were no erosional or <br /> stability problems noted in this area. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12: <br /> -The erosion through the center of the East Pit,where the concrete drop structures were busted out nearly 20 years <br /> ago, appears to be the same as it has been. It does not appear that it has encroached on the road that runs along the <br /> west side of the East Pit. <br /> DOCUMENTS RECEIVED: None <br /> This concludes the 19 October 2016 complete inspection at the GEC Mine. <br />
