the borehole meter will be reclaimed following completion of the work <br />associated with this feature. One light use road exists at the Fish Creek Tipple <br />facility, which will be reclaimed. <br />The Foidel Creek permit is in compliance will all rules pertaining to haul roads, <br />access roads, and light use roads. <br />II. Support Facilities - Rule 4.04 <br />Support facilities are discussed on pages 2.05-17.1 to 2.05-65.5.6a of Volume I and is <br />also discussed on pages 2.05-4 to 2.05-6 of Volume II, Maps 15 of Volume IX and <br />Maps 24 and 26 of Volume V-A. <br />The Division finds the support facilities in compliance with Rule 4.04. <br />III. Hydrologic Balance - Rule 4.05 <br />A. Water Quality Standards and Effluent Limitations <br />The Division proposes to grant small area exemptions from use of <br />sedimentation ponds due to the limited size of the areas and due to the fact that <br />ponds and treatment facilities are not necessary for the drainage to meet the <br />effluent limitations of Rule 4.05.2 and applicable State and Federal water <br />quality standards for receiving streams and also due to the fact that no mixing <br />of surface drainage with a discharge from underground workings will occur. <br />Discussions of the approved alternate sediment control locations are located <br />on pages 2.05-82 through 2.05-84.7 in the permit application. No new <br />alternative sediment control areas are proposed or approved with this permit <br />renewal. <br />B. Surface and Ground Water Monitoring <br />The applicant will conduct monitoring of ground water in a manner approved <br />by the Division. The ground water monitoring plan can be found in Exhibit <br />14, Volume II -B of the permit application (4.05.13(1)). <br />2. The applicant will conduct monitoring of surface water in a manner approved <br />by the Division. The monitoring plan was submitted under 2.05.6(3)(b)(iv) <br />and can be found in Exhibit 14, Volume II -B of the permit application <br />(4.05.13(2)). NPDES monitoring is conducted under permits CO -0027154 <br />(surface facilities area), CO -0042161 (Fish Creek Borehole), CO -0036684 <br />(Fish Creek Tipple), COG -850051 (18RT) and COG-00850054(6MN <br />sediment pond). <br />3. The following wells serve as the Foidel Creek Mine's ground water points of <br />compliance: 97013TM (Twentymile Sandstone), 008-77-58 (Wadge <br />Page 31 of 52 <br />
