Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a Partial Coal Inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine conducted by Tabetha Lynch of the Colorado Division <br /> of Reclamation,Mining and Safety. Bill Bear of Bowie Resources, LLC(BRL)accomplanied the inspection. <br /> Weather was cloudy and warm. The mine site was muddy from recent rain and snow.Not all areas of the mine <br /> were accessible due to muddy conditions. Bowie No.2 Mine is not actively mining coal and was transporting <br /> equipment off site. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;Diversions <br /> 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;Drainage—Acid and <br /> Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Observed culverts along the road and at D bench were clear. Ponds B, C,D,F,K and J were observed <br /> during the inspection. Pond F marker was at 4.0. All ponds were holding water except K. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Two trucks were loading equipment on B-bench, a transformer and belt structure,to be hauled off-site. B- <br /> bench was busy with equipment and activity, and no disturbance was noted beyond the bench berm. No problems <br /> were noted at the materials storage area pad or the train loadout.New hay bales had been placed at the pump house <br /> SAE as requested as a maintenance item in the March inspection report. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization;Placement: <br /> Coal processing was occuring at the time of the inspection and coal stockpiles remain at the site. <br /> Materials were being transported from the wash plant to Gob Pile 3,where materials were placed in stacks to dry. <br /> Gob Pile 2 materials were being turned over at the time of inspection to reduce moisture and snow pockets.No <br /> trains were observed loading or unloading during the inspeciton.
