PERMIT#: M-1990-059
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: THM
INSPECTION DATE: September 30,2015
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado
Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety. The Eldorado - Pilot is a 110(1) underground mine. The
commodities mined were gold and silver. The mine permit area consists of 2.0 permitted acres. The
Eldorado - Pilot is located approximately 6 miles west of Ouray Colorado up Yankee Boy Basin Road. No
representative of the mining operation was present during the inspection.
No mine identification sign was observed at the entrance to the mine site. This is not considered a problem
due to the site being in final reclamation.
The main focus of the inspection was to observe the current conditions of the site and determine if any
issues needed to be addressed.
The site was regraded and all slopes appeared to be no steeper than the required 3H:1V. The portal was
partially sealed at the time of the inspection. The site had good vegetative coverage and will likely have
enough perennial vegetation within the next 1-2 growing seasons to be eligible for a compete release of the
permit once the portal is adequately sealed.
Overall the site was in good condition and no unnecessary debris or trash was observed during the
inspection.
No erosion or sedimentation issues were noted. There are no major or minor drainage issues within the
permit area that warrant addressing.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Travis Marshall at the Division of Reclamation
Mining and Safety Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501 phone no. (970) 241-2042.
