We believe that <br /> there are areas in the old permit area that are ready for release where reclamation is complete <br /> according to the approved plan and or has never been disturbed. <br /> Exhibit PR-1 shows the west area of the permit which contains the areas to be released. <br /> The heavy green line is the existing permit line that covers 7113 acres±in this area. The blue <br /> line is the property boundary that is owned by Valco, Inc., 65.57 acres±, and the pink outlines <br /> are for the areas to be released. The request is to release approximately 31.86 ac±from the <br /> permit. Within this release area there are 4 sub areas,a 4.48 acre in the northwest part that was <br /> included in the Plant Site area in 1997 and was never redisturbed. The south release areas has 2 <br /> pieces that were mined and disturbed prior to 1977 and are labeled as pre-law areas covering <br /> 4.97 acres,they have never been redisturbed. A 5.01 acre section of above and below water lake <br /> bank has been successfully reclaimed, colored green. This leaves approximately 17.40 acres of <br /> pre 1981 lake area, colored blue. <br /> The gray area will remain in the permit, should this request be approved and the total <br /> permitted area would become 142.82 acres±.
