Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> Y - Processing Waste R - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> A partial inspection of the King Coal Mine was conducted by me, Robin Reilley, of the DRMS on <br /> Thursday, 17 March 2016. Skies were clear, and temperatures reached the low 50F's. Winter snow <br /> remained on north facing slopes. The ground was saturated in some areas. <br /> The focus of this inspection was the King I mine with particular attention being paid to the refuse pile <br /> and the development of the west waste bank. Activity at King I had just begun earlier in the week with <br /> the main haul road being prepared for movment of equipment and the refuse pile being surveyed to <br /> maintian approved slopes. Grading and leveling operations were taking place. <br /> Haul trucks waited for loading at King II. Tom Bird accompanied me throughout the field inspection of <br /> the King I and II surface facilities. <br /> PERMITTING UPDATE: <br /> TR-20 Coal Mine Waste for Highwall Backfill <br /> o On June 9, 2015, the Division issued a supplemental adequacy item, requesting that GCC develop <br /> a sampling plan for further analysis of the acid and toxic forming potential of coal mine waste. A <br /> sampling protocol was submitted to DRMS. GCC submitted both an addequacy review#2 and <br /> suppplement initial response, and DRMS reviewed and submitted additional adequacy questions <br /> to GCC on 25 November 2015. GCC submitted responses to DRMS for adequacy review#3 on <br /> 28 December 2015. DRMS submitted adequacy response to GCC 26 April 2016.
