To date,
MCC has completely mined -out longwall panels E1 through E5 and began longwall mining panel E6
during the 3rd Quarter of 2015. At the end of the 1St Quarter 2016, MCC had mined out longwall panel E6
up to cross -cut 51.
There were no stock ponds within twice the angle of draw during this quarter, and mining was not within
a mile of Monument Dam. Winter weather and ground conditions did not permit inspections in the first
quarter of 2016. All inspections will continue when road and weather conditions allow. Inspection
documents for Monument Dam, Forest Service Roads, and Stock Ponds are included with this letter.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (970) 929-2308.
Sincerely,
Jessica Loveland, P.E.
Environmental Engineer
Enclosures: US Forest Service Road Inspections - First Quarter 2016
Stock Pond Inspections — First Quarter 2016
Monument Dam Inspections — First Quarter 2016
cc: D.
