Apr 1716 12:02p
equal to fulfill the obligations of the State and the Operator to the Landowner
Also, there's the 300 feet perimeter that is the safety zone that was farmed prior to
mining and a contiguous part of the farm that would not be able to be farmed because of
the prior existing reclaimed haul road that would have another ten year bond libility that
runs right next to it. So, that would be additional acreage that the farmer would not be
getting back because it would not be contiguous and it also could not be used until that
reclaimed area was released.
A big lesson in life whether you are in a judicial position, politcal position, governmental
position, industrial position, or just a little farmer, you learn from your mistakes, This
has always been a learning experience treading new territories and new aspects of rules
and regulations which never had to be scrutinized prior to mining small individual farms
and farms containing prime farmlands. Farming in itself is a scientific experiment and
the results of trial and error. Nothing in life is an exact science. Since the State,
operator, or an individual cannot re-enter, re -open, or revisit prior permitting, the goal
should be to understand and learn from the mistakes that have been made and move
forward in a positive way to ensure the rules and regulations are being met, but at the
same time make the adjustments and corrections needed to do the right thing without
breaking these laws before it's too late.
Thank you Brock and Western Fuels for what you are doing and the value of this
working relationship can never be expressed enough.
Thank you for your time, 1
ii1len Turner
64 Olt)
1 Avnff+/NAI
`Y r
E
