DETAILED SITE INSPECTION OBSERVATIONS <br /> The site was found to be in compliance with their mining and reclamation <br /> GENERAL COMPLIANCE plan. <br /> SITE DEVELOPMENT The site is a developed pit with reclaimed areas. <br /> Q <br /> The operator is expecting to begin operating in late spring/summer when <br /> z OPERATIONAL PHASE the demand for roadbase material is greater. <br /> Q <br /> J <br /> d <br /> z The operator has begun reclamation on the north and western slopes of <br /> o RECLAMATION STATUS the site. <br /> Q (TOPSOIL,ROADS,ETC.) <br /> Q Given the site's bermed perimeter (per MSHA regulation), the reclaimed <br /> U <br /> LU <br /> EROSION/SEDIMENTATION slopes, and the basin topography of the pit floor,there did not appear to <br /> Cz be any issue with erosion or sedimentation during the inspection. <br /> LU <br /> z_ <br /> EXPLOSIVES No explosives are used in the operations. <br /> SAFETY There did not appear to be any issues with safety during the inspection. <br /> The reclamation taking place on the site's northern and western slopes will <br /> ENGINEERING/GEOLOGIC&STABILITY likely improve the site's stability. Overall,there did not appear to be any <br /> CONDITIONS issues with engineering or geologic stability during the inspection <br /> OTHER LOCAL/STATE/ FEDERAL REQ. & Click here to enter text. <br /> COMPLIANCE <br /> • The northwest slope has been re-graded to a 3:1 slope, and it has <br /> been re-seeded. Reclamation has also begun on the site's western <br /> slope. <br /> • The site's topsoil is stockpiled on the southern end of the pit. <br /> OTHER OBSERVATIONS/NOTES • At final reclamation, the topsoil will be spread to a thickness of 3 <br /> inches, and the floor will be re-seeded. <br /> PHOTOS <br /> Photo 1:The northern end of the <br /> Quagmire pit, note the bermed <br /> boundary (Per MSHA regulations) on <br /> the right-hand side of the photo. <br />
