PisciottA fAr"is & Probucc M Nrltcti»g
45 3$8 HWti 50 £ast
AvoiibA1c, CO $1022
719-947-3463
P,Ecelvgo 09
April 12, 2016 ApR 15 201 6
DMSION 0 SON
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Joe Pisciotta and I am the owner operator of Pisciotta Farms&Produce Marketing
Inc. in Avondale,CO. I would like to take this opportunity to voice my concerns with the application for
a Regular(112)Construction Materials Operation Reclamation Permit known as the 44 h Lane Project.
Disruption of the soil and vegetation in the proposed mine site would create numerous health and food
safety issues in our crops and irrigation canal. The possibility of food and soil contamination from water
run off would be increased. Also, with winds of 30 to 40 mph not uncommon in the area, disruption of
the soil would increase movement of particles drastically. This area is zoned Al agriculture to preserve
and protect the agriculture industry in our community. This area is not suited for the mining industry.
The applicant has proposed a haul route directly through the farm community. The combination of
agriculture equipment and expected truckloads of over 100 per day(200 round trip)along with
inadequate county roads makes for a very dangerous situation.
I would to thank you for the opportunity to voice my concerns as well as my family's concerns
and would like to ask you to please consider my concerns in the application process.
Sincerely,
Joe P.
