The reports were received on April 15, 2016. The Division has the following
comments:
The quarterly pond inspections are generally in compliance with Rule 4.05.9(17). The inspections did not
identify any potential hazards or maintenance requirements. The inspections were conducted on April
2, 2016. Please ensure that quarterly inspections are conducted with the correct frequency of once
a quarter.
The Yearly Impoundment Inspection Report included information required by Rule 4.05.9(14) and Rule
4.05.9(15). The impoundments inspected include: the Long Pond, Pond T-1, Pond T-2, Pond P-9 and the
Refuse Pond. The inspection found that there was no potential for failure at any of the ponds.
This concludes the Division's review of the 1st Quarter 2016 Pond inspection Report and the Yearly
Impoundment Inspection Report for the North Thompson Creek Mines.
