YUMA COUNTY ROAD AND BRIDGE
DON MARR
RECLAMATION, MINING &
SAFETY COORDINATOR
April 11, 2016
RE: adequacy Follow up
Elliott Russell
1313 Sherman St RM 215
Denver Co 80203
1 310 SOUTH BLAKE -:- WRAY, COLORADO 80758
Elliott,
As per our phone conversation today I am following up with this letter.
Per your Email
Don,
Phone 970 332 - 5718
Fax 970 332 - 3429
yumacountyrb@gmail.com
I have received your response to the Division's Follow-up Adequacy Letter regarding the Meeks Pit (M-2015-049)
Application. It appears you submitted an updated Exhibit E Reclamation Plan. Within this updated version you included
the correct seed mixture and identified the seeding rate as requested in the Follow-up Adequacy Letter. However, after
further review, I discovered that some of the text in the plan does not reflect what you had revised through the first round
of adequacy. Just to confirm:
1) Yuma County will not add winter wheat and oats to the seed mixture; and
2) Yuma County will seed topsoil stockpiles with the approved reclamation seed mixture rather than winter wheat.
Please respond to these issues will an email (with an attached letter) or by mail. As a reminder the decision date for the
permit is set for April 18, 2016. Please call if you have any questions.
To confirm with you on the following issues
1 Yuma County will not be adding the winter wheat or Oats to the seed mixture.
2 Yuma County will be seeding our topsoil piles with the recommended seed mixtures to help
establish a good seed bed for reclamation as well as keeping the topsoil pile stable.
Thanks in advance
Don Marr
