The samples shall be sent to a certified laboratory within 24 hours of
collection and the results shall be provided to the Division within 24 hours of receipt.
3. Please specify the date the cement kiln will begin to operate with the newly added carbon and
lime systems.
4. The Applicant has committed to stockpiling CKD within C-Pit in a manner which will
distinguish it from capping material and existing C-Pit CKD. Please provide additional detail
on how the CKD will be segregated within C-Pit. In addition, please describe any additional
measures necessary to ensure containment of the temporary stockpile of CKD within C-Pit,
e.g. additional dust suppression.
As previously mentioned, if you are unable to provide satisfactory responses to any inadequacies
prior to the decision date (April 7, 2016), it will be your responsibility to request an extension
of time to allow for continued review of this application. If there are still unresolved issues
when the decision date arrives and no extension has been requested, the application will be
denied.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303)866-3567 x8116.
Sincerely,
Michael A.
