Silver Wing Mine NOI <br /> 2. Rule 3 Information: <br /> Rule 3.1 (General) <br /> Activities proposed under this NOI as submitted will not result in additional disturbance of the Silver <br /> Wing mine site. Existing access roads will be sufficient to support the planned work and will be left in <br /> equal or better condition. Existing site drainage controls consistent with the existing Storm Water <br /> Permit and Management Plan will be maintained and left in equal or improved conditions to those <br /> found prior NOI activities. <br /> Rule 3.1.5 (2) <br /> No backfilling of waste materials or overburden is planned. Disposal of the sedimentation sludge is <br /> addressed in Supporting Information Item 4. <br /> Rule 3.1.5(3) <br /> All site grading of existing roads and areas affected by removal of "junk" items will be graded in a <br /> manner to control erosion and to comply with the Storm Water Management Plan. No highwalls will be <br /> affected by the planned work under the NOI. <br /> Rule 3.1.5 (5) <br /> All refuse will be hauled off-site for disposal at a regulated landfill site. No mining of acid or toxic <br /> producing materials will be occur under this plan except for chip samples which will be collected, bagged <br /> and sent off-site for assaying or metallurgical testing purposes. Material cleaned from the <br /> sedimentation pond will be disposed of on site as described in Supporting Information Item 4. <br /> Rule 3.1.5(10) <br /> No mining of materials is planned under this NOI. Material cleaned from the sedimentation pond will be <br /> disposed of on site as described in Information Item 4. <br /> Rule 3.1.5(11) <br /> The mine portal discharge water(ground water)will not be adversely impacted by the planned activities <br /> under this NOI. The goal is to eliminate or reduce the discharge from the portal. <br /> Rule 3.1.6(1)(a) <br /> Nothing in this NOI will impact or cause injury to existing water rights. <br /> Rule 3.16(1) (b) <br /> The primary purpose of this NOI is to determine the most effective and best way to comply with federal <br /> and Colorado water quality standards and site specific classifications and standards adopted by the <br /> Water Quality Control Commission. <br /> 1 <br />
