The air compressor will be reconstructed enough to show what it looked like when it was in operation. The air
compressor was considered by members of the Mosch family to be "lucky" since it was used to successfully
find many important mines trough out the western United states. It has a great history that is enjoyed by the
guest taking tours.
General Items
The original permit reclamation plan describes that the "area will be reseeded" and "the dump will be re-
contoured to conform with the pre-existing dump contours." During the life of the mine, all waste rock was
placed in pre-existing and very dry underground openings that were made during mining in the 1920's and
1930's. No new surface waste rock was extracted by the mining and Exploration activities. Also, the surface
area is currently entirely used for tour and museum related activities. There is no reason to do any re-seeding
since there is no areas to re-seed.
If you have any questions about this, I may be contacted at (775) 385-3638 or e-mail me at
davidmosch@yahoo.com.
Sincerely,nn 11nn
00,„,-,-)
David Mosch
Mining Engineer/Co-owner of the Phoenix Mine
5
