Existing adit/prospect-This glory hole and short (<50') adit is developed in a knob of bedrock protruding
through the talus cover, an ideal geometry for collaring of the proposed new adit in solid bedrock. The
author crawled to the face of the adit in the 1990's and saw no water.
Boiler adit-This caving adit is on the next claim south of the current permit area. It is situated about
800'to the south, approximately 190' below the proposed adit, and has not had a discharge since the
authors work in the area began some 26 years ago, and probably never did.
Conclusion
The presence of numerous workings with no discharges, no known springs above the proposed activity,
ephemeral drainages only in the area, and the lack of any indication of lithology or structure, or
extensive old mine workings that could host pooled groundwater that could be intersected by tunneling
is compelling. The dry nature of the location is one of the primary reasons for its selection for
prospecting and potential mining.
Dean Misantoni
CPG #11276
P.O.
