The weather was mostly clear
and warm. The ground was dry.
EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09
Placement;Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization:
Fills 7, 8, and 9 were inspected; all were generally in good condition. There were no signs of instability or erosion
on the faces, except for a rill on Fill 7. The vegetation on Fill 9 is very thin in places. As noted before, side
channels on Fills 7 (east channel) and 9(west channel) are eroding and need to be repaired.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
The following ponds were inspected: 6, 7, 9, and 9A.None of them were discharging(Pond 9A was only viewed
from above,but it is highly unlikely it was discharging). Their embankments and spillways were in good
condition.
A gully has formed above Pond 7 (west side). This should be addressed by NECC.
Two culverts were inspected: C I and C 13. C 1 was mostly clear of sediment,however the upstream end of this
culvert is damaged and should be repaired. The downstream end of C 1 has minor damage that needs to be
monitored for deterioration. In the channel below Fill 8 there is a 36"CMP culvert that maybe C 13;NECC
should check the location of this structure on Map 2.05.3-7,because it appears to be located wrong on the map.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 2 of 7
