There are a lot phenol compounds and
heterocyclic organic compounds, probably coming from the coal. There is also a lot of iron and other common
soil metals, probably coming from the coal and clay liner.
When these metals mix with hetero cyclic compounds, like those coming from coal, it is probable that a colored
metal -heterocyclic carbon compound complex is formed.
The exact colored compound may have to be determined by NMR analysis, if necessary, but we don't have that
instrumentation and it is likely to be very expensive. Gallbraith Labs in Knoxville TN is a lab that can perform
NMR, but expect it to be very expensive.
The analysis that we performed does seem to show that there is no Arsenic, Lead or extremely toxic inorganic
compounds; however, coal is a fossilized fuel and contains many noxious and toxic hydrocarbon compounds, by
https://mail.googl e.com/m ai I/u/0/?ui=2&i k=e29129fcb5&view=pt&search= i nbox&th=153153d8a30000bb&si m l=153153d8a30000bb 1/5
