Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil COMMENTS This was a aerial inspection of the Colowyo Mine flown by Harry Ranney and reported by Zach Trujillo,both of the Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS).No mine representative was present during the inspection. Weather conditions were clear with the temperature aroundt thirty five degrees fahrenheit. Ground conditions were partially snow cover. BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: Backfilling continues along the highwall along the eastern side of the South Taylor Pit by dump trucks. It was observed through the photograph that backfilling operations were occurring during the inspection. The drag line within the pit appears to be operating at the time of the inspection as well. Overburden is being moved to the eastern end of the lower benches of the pit by the dragline. The pit operations are moving east to west. South Taylor Pit. 4 FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: While wildlife cannot be observed from the aerial photographs,numerous game trails can be observed through the snow cover and reclaimed section of the Colowyo Mine.
