A BLM owned by the BLM. <br />Question 2: <br />Does your state plan to continue allowing the use of self -bonds? <br />Alabama <br />No entities are currently utilizing self -bonds, but we would accept if a <br />permittee meets the criteria. <br />Arkansas <br />Our state law requires that the state regulations can be no more <br />stringent than the federal regulations. As long as self -bonding appears <br />in the federal regulations, we will have to have it as an option as well. <br />Colorado <br />Yes as long as companies remain compliant with <br />legal/regulatory/financial criteria. <br />Illinois <br />Yes. <br />Indiana <br />At this time, Indiana does not have plans to disallow use of self bonds. <br />Kansas <br />We have no plans to allow self -bonding at coal mines in the future. <br />Kentucky <br />N/A <br />Louisiana <br />The Louisiana Office of Conservation has never accepted a self -bond <br />nor does it plan to. <br />Maryland <br />N/A <br />Mississippi <br />We do not have any self -bonded permits; but do not have any plans to <br />remove that option from the regulations. <br />Montana <br />N/A <br />New Mexico <br />Yes, we have no plans to amend the regulations regarding self -bonds. <br />North Dakota <br />Yes. <br />Ohio <br />Ohio is proposing to remove the existing regulations governing <br />accepting self -bonding for coal mining permits. <br />Pennsylvania <br />Yes. <br />Note: no company has ever used self -bonding in Pennsylvania <br />
