site. Mitigation measures required by the BLM involved extensive research and documentation
of this site. The site has since been destroyed by subsidence and subsequent rockfall.
During the review of PR -11, two cultural resource sites were identified (5RT3324 and 5RT3325)
and are recommended to be eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places
(NRHP). These sites should not be disturbed by surface operations but they will be subsided.
Based on an analysis submitted by a consultant hired by TC, and the predicted effects of
subsidence, these sites should not be adversely affected by the mining activity proposed with PR -
11. History Colorado concurred with this based on a letter dated November 24, 2015 that they
submitted to the Division received on December 1, 2015.
Land i Nes,
Pre -mining and post -mining land uses within the permit area are pastureland and rangeland.
Some of the surface was previously disturbed by surface mining methods under Mine No. 1,
Mine No. 2, and Eckman Park Mine (C-81-071) and Energy Mine No. 3 (C-84-062), and by
facilities previously permitted under the permit for the Fish Creek Tipple (C-1981-036).
Foidel Creek Mine 14 February 25, 2016
