PUBLIC NOTICE <br />C.B. Minerals Company, LLC, 2352 N. 7th Street, Unit B, Grand Junction, CO 81501, has <br />submitted a complete application for renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining in <br />Colorado to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The permit renewal is for CB's <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, mining permit No. C-1984-065. The operation is in permanent <br />cessation. <br />The mine is located approximately 3 miles east of New Castle, south of the Colorado River <br />in the Grand Hogback region in Garfield County. The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine permit area is <br />located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Storm King Mountain and New Castle <br />Quadrangle maps. The mine permit area is located in portions of the following described <br />lands: <br />Township 6 South, Range 91 West, 6th PM <br />Sec. 1: Those lands in the NE'/4 yet south of County Road 335, Lots 3 <br />and 4, S'/2, SY2NWY4 <br />Sec. 12: N'/NEY4 <br />Township 6 South. Ranae 90 West. 6th PM <br />Sec. 5: SY2SW% <br />Sec. 6: All lands south of the right of way of County Road <br />Sec. 7: NE%, N%2NW% <br />Sec. 8: N'/2, NY2SE%, NE'/4SW% <br />Sec. 9: S'/NW'/4, SW% <br />Sec. 15: NW% <br />Sec. 16: NY2NE'/4, NE%NW'/4 <br />containing 2484.3 acres more or less. <br />Ownership of the land within the permit boundary is all private and includes land owned by <br />NCIG Financial, Inc., Barton Porter and Leonard Rippy. <br />A copy of the proposed renewal application is available for public inspection at the Garfield <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, Garfield County Court House, 109 8th Street, Suite <br />200, Glenwood Springs CO, and at the offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. Written <br />comments, objections, or a request for an informal conference on the application may be <br />submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety at the above address. Written comments must be received by the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety within 30 days of the last publication of this notice <br />in order to be considered. <br />
