The following chan es are hereby made to the Agreement include the cost/time adjustment for each than e
Repair gullies at previously reclaimed portions of Roads F and G as described in the attached Emergency Change
Order. Machine time will be used to stabilize gullies which have developed on Road F and to stabilize an erosive
stream channel on Road G. Because each gully and the stream channel crossing will require unique excavation and
grading solutions, machine time is deemed to be the most appropriate method of payment to accomplish the scope
of work.
Justification
It is necessary to complete this additional work at this time for the following reasons:
- A contractor will be on-site with an appropriately sized piece of equipment completing the previously specified
repair work at Ditch 8;
- Anequipment rental price has been established in the Ditch 8 Reconstruction Project Bid;
- A forfeited reclamation bond is being used to fund this work. These funds are limited. Use of the Ditch 8
Reconstruction contractor will save additional mobilization expenses;
- The work should be done expeditiously as summer thunder storms will exacerbate the erosional problems
occurring at the identified work locations.
