Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />N - Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division). Doug Smith of Oxbow Mining accompanied the inspection. The weather was mostly clear with deep <br />snow on the ground. Although the roads around the site were mostly accessible, the snow limited the scope of the <br />inspection. <br />The status of the Elk Creek Mine, as far as the Division is concerned, is "Active" however no coal is being <br />mined and the activity since the last inspection has been focused on the early stages of site reclamation. <br />The MSHA status of the mine is "Temporarily Idled" <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />There are no revisions in process. The mine site is being reclaimed in accordance with the plan. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Road access was maintained up Elk Creek (by Oxbow) and up Bear Creek (by Gunnison Energy). The <br />road up Hubbard Creek was not accessible. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The demolition contractors, Demco, and their sub -contractors were on-site.
