PERMIT#:M-2011-049
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:ECS
INSPECTION DATE:February 3,2016
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection for the Treiber Lakes 112c permit. The inspection was conducted by
Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS met with Tri-Lakes Water District representative Leif Lesoing, City of Greeley
representative Anastasia Strazhko, and consultant for City of Greeley/Tri-Lakes Water Bill Schenderlein on-site
at approximately 1130. The site entrance is located on the west side of Taft Hill Road north of Ft Collins, near
the west side of the Lafarge Home Office Pit site(M 1977-439). The required site identification was present at
the entrance to the site.
The 94 acre Treiber Lakes permit was previously part of the Lafarge Home Office Pit, and all mining was
completed under that permit. This area was "re-permitted"by the City of Greeley and is currently undergoing
reclamation by them as developed water storage. Reclamation for this permit will include the installation of
slurry walls, re-sloping of the existing lake shore areas, and revegetation of disturbed areas.
At the time of this inspection the western reservoir has been emptied, all banks re-sloped to a 3:1 grade, slurry
wall installed, reservoir refilled with water, and the shore areas have been graded. The eastern reservoir is
currently scheduled to undergo the same reclamation work during the 2016 construction season. When the
revised reclamation plan has been completed by the City of Greeley, and the slurry wall has been approved by
the SEO, DRMS will release the permit on this site.
No other issues or problems were noted during the inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Erik Reckentine
City of Greeley
1100 1 Oth Street,Suite 300
Greeley,CO 80631
