During review of the material submitted, the Division
determined that the following issue(s) of concern shall be adequately addressed before the
application can be considered for approval.
1. The Exhibit F (Reclamation Plan Map) submitted shows a highwall graded to 3H:1V on the
south side of the expansion area, adjacent to the existing pit. It is the Division's
understanding that the expansion area will "daylight" into the existing pit. If this is the case,
please show this on the Reclamation Plan Map.
Please submit your response(s) to the above listed issue(s) by Friday, February 12, 2016 in order to
allow the Division sufficient time for review.
The Division will continue to review your application and will contact you if additional information
is needed.
If you require additional information, or have questions or concerns, please contact me at the
Division's Grand Junction Field Office.
Sincerely,
Dustin Czapla
Environmental Protection Specialist
Department of Natural Resources
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
101 South 3rd, Suite 301
Grand Junction, CO 81501
Phone: (970) 243-6299
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
