The report was submitted in a timely manner. The report indicated that there was no water
monitoring conducted for the 2015 calender year. This is in compliance with the currently approved
permit application package (Page 4-85). The Colorado Discharge Permit for the site has been inactive
since September 30, 2004. The sediment pond was reclaimed in October and November of 2015. A new
discharge permit, C00048972, was issued on August 26, 2015 for the straw wattles associated with the
reclamation of the sediment pond. Page 4-86 of the approved permit application package requires the
Annual Hydrology Report to include a discussion about the discharge from the sediment pond and water
consumption including irrigation of the reclaimed site. The sediment pond did not discharge and the
cropland at the reclaimed site was not irrigated during the 2015 calender year. The straw wattles did not
have enough discharge to record data during the year.
The 2015 Annual Hydrology Report is in compliance with the requirements of the Rules and the approved
permit application. Based on the above information, the Division has no questions or further comments.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866-3567 x8144.
Sincerely,
Clayton Wein
Environmental Protection Specialist
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 E 303.832.8106 http://mining. state. co. us
John W.
