OTHER (SPECIFY):
The following maintenance items were noted during the last site inspection. Below is an update on their progress.
• PSCM will need to submit an MR to update permit section 2.03.11 of the permit to identify where a public
copy of the permit is located.
o Scott Cowman the former permitting and inspection contact for the PSCM is no longer working
for PSCM. The staff of the Foidel Creek Mine, operated by Twentymile Coal, LLC. is currently
overseeing the site. The parent company of both mines is changing. Given the transition, this
item remains outstanding and will need to be addressed.
• Smart ditches have been installed in drainages FA -D5 and FA -D6. The Division has observed some
undercutting of these ditches and/or animals have burrowed under the ditches near the northwest end of
the ditches.
o These ditches were under a significant amount of snow and could not be observed. Given this, the
Division will evaluate the progress of this item when snow conditions allow.
SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04:
The old shop area was inaccessible due to the snow conditions however the majority of the area was visible from
the main haul road. No problems were observed.
The lower material storage area was snow covered. The coal stockpile does not appear to have changed since the
last site inspection.
TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06
Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4:
The topsoil stockpile was snow covered but appeared stable. The identification marker was in place.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED
OTHER (SPECIFY)
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE
No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
