EXHIBIT D: MINING PLAN <br />1. General Mining Plan <br />Historically, the deposit was mined utilizing deep vertical galleries (underground) accessed from the <br />outcrop as shown in Figure 2. Little to no explosives have been used for the mining with the <br />exception of the development of Tunnel #5, Portal #4 and the Utility Portal. Marble is cut utilizing <br />rock saws and wire saws. This method minimized the damage to the marble during excavation. The <br />historic deep vertical galleries combine to form the Washington Gallery (Portals #1-4).
