January 12, 2016 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br />At the time of the inspection all of the SAEs were covered in snow. The SAEs' pads were plowed and the berms <br />were intact, preventing any off site impacts. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Mine Identification signs were found at: the County Road 65 and Highway 64 intersection, along the <br />County Road 65 and mine permit boundary intersections, and at the Mine Entrance Road/County Road 65 <br />intersection. The Identification signs displayed the correct information. <br />All of the Topsoil piles visited were observed to display a topsoil marker and are in compliance with the <br />regulations. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Topsoil piles visited during the inspection include: <br />- The D -Portal Topsoil Pile <br />- Haul Road Topsoil Piles R1 -R7 <br />- Conveyor Topsoil Piles C2 and C3 <br />- Refuse Soil Piles RA4-RA8 <br />During the time of the inspection all of the topsoil and soil piles were covered in snow. There were no indications <br />of instability at any of the piles. Each of the locations visited had markers clearly labeled on them.
