future use in reclaiming the site. A temporary soil stockpile(s) will be established on the east end of the pad area
adjacent to the road, where natural drainage will route around the stockpile(s) due to the existing natural drainage
configuration, and the natural vegetative materials incorporated into the soil, and seeding with the topsoil stockpile
stabilization seed mixture, will stabilize and protect the stockpiled soil materials.. Soil salvage volumes are
indicated on Table 49A.
5MN Borehole and Pipelines (MR14-283. MR15-288) — Construction of the light -use road and pad for the 5MN
Cement Borehole will involve removal of any large vegetation and stripping and stockpiling of other vegetation,
soil, and organic materials. The road and pad are located along the crest of a minor ridgeline where soil
development is limited, so TC will recover and salvage a maximum of 12 inches of soil from the road and pad
areas. With a pad area of approximately 0.9 acres, and a road corridor of approximately 3.1 acres, a maximum
volume of approximately 6,540 cubic yards of soil material will be salvaged and placed in stockpile for future use
in reclaiming the site. A temporary soil stockpile(s) will be established on the northeast corner of the pad area
adjacent to the road. The natural vegetative materials incorporated into the soil, and seeding with the topsoil
stockpile stabilization seed mixture, will stabilize and protect the stockpiled soil materials. Soil salvage volumes
are indicated on Table 49A. Pipeline construction will involve temporary removal and windrowing of soilmaterials
from the pipeline trench area (maximum pipeline corridor width of 40 feet). The maximum disturbance footprint
will be approximately 4.6 acres, corresponding to a maximum soil salvage volume of approximately 7,400 cubic
yards (at a 12 -inch salvage depth). Since, however, the soil will be progressively removed, windrowed, and then
almost immediately replaced, as pipeline construction proceeds, this soil salvage volume is not reflected in Table
49A — Soil Stockpile Summary.
10 -East Emergency Air Borehole (MR15-289) — Prior to construction of the l0E Emergency Borehole pad, site
preparation will involve removal of any large vegetation and stripping and stockpiling of other vegetation, soil, and
organic materials. The pad is located on a minor ridgeline where soil development is limited, so TC will recover
and salvage a maximum of 12 inches of soil from the pad disturbance areas. With a total pad area of approximately
1.2 acres, a maximum volume of approximately 1,900 cubic yards of soil material will be salvaged and placed in
stockpile for future use in reclaiming the site. One or more temporary soil stockpile(s) will be established on the
north side of the pad area. The natural vegetative materials incorporated into the soil, and seeding with the topsoil
stockpile stabilization seed mixture, will stabilize and protect the stockpiled soil materials. Soil salvage volumes
are indicated on Table 49A.
13 -Left Outby Utility Borehole (MR15-291) — Construction of the light -use road and pad for the 13LT Outby
Utility Borehole will involve removal of any large vegetation and stripping and stockpiling of other vegetation, soil,
and organic materials. The road and pad are located on a low -gradient sidehill where TC will recover and salvage a
maximum of 18 inches of soil from the road and pad areas. With a pad area of approximately 1.0 acres, and a road
corridor of approximately 2.4 acres, a maximum volume of approximately 8,230 cubic yards of soil material will be
salvaged and placed in stockpile for future use in reclaiming the site. A temporary soil stockpile(s) will be
established on the northwest side of the pad area. The natural vegetative materials incorporated into the soil, and
seeding with the topsoil stockpile stabilization seed mixture, will stabilize and protect the stockpiled soil materials.
Soil salvage volumes are indicated on Table 49A.
MR 15-291 2.05-84.13 12/22/15
