The mine is a reclaimed surface
mine. As such, there are no mine personnel remaining on the site. The area has a healthy snow pack established.
Mine roads are not plowed or maintained during the winter months. Activity on the mine site during the winter is
usually limited to required hydrologic monitoring.
The weather at the time of the aerial inspection was clear.
BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14
Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f);
Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
No concerns were apparent in the Neck Pit area or in the North Pit area. Pond 12 is frozen and snow covered. Although there appears to be a small
area of open water on the east inlet of the pond, it was indeterminate if the pond was discharging. Snow depth in
the area on the pond appears to be above the middle of the 4 wire fence. Estimate snow pack is >2 feet deep.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 4
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 5
