Public Notice <br />Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box <br />1430, Palisade, CO, 61526, has sub- <br />mitted a complete application for a <br />technical revision (TR -68) to the Divi- <br />sion of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety for its Roadside North and <br />South Portals, mining permit No. C- <br />1961,041. The proposed revision will <br />change the postmining land use at <br />the reclaimed Pond 8 area at the <br />Roadside South Portal, from the cur- <br />rent approved use of fish and wild- <br />life to commercial, which was the <br />classilication prior to mining. <br />The Roadside mines are located ap- <br />proximately three miles northeast of <br />Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Ca- <br />meo Exit No. 46. The permit area is <br />spill east and west by the Colorado <br />River and 1-70, and Is encompassed <br />within the following lands: <br />T1US, R98W., 61h P.M.: Sections 26, <br />27, 28, 34, 35 <br />Ti1S, R98W., fish P.M.: Section 2 <br />The location of these sections is <br />contained within the U.S. Geological <br />Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Pali- <br />sade Quadrangle maga. <br />A copy of the technical revision ap- <br />ppllcation is available for public <br />Inspec,ilon at the Mesa County <br />Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. <br />Spruce, Grand Junction, CO.
