EXHIBIT "B"
SUMMARY OF 2015 ACTIVITIES
The 2015 annual report mine map has been updated to a computer based Autocad
format. Horizontal and vertical survey control has been updated to NAD83 State Plane
(Colorado Central) and NAVD88 coordinate systems respectively. A USGS benchmark
located a few hundred yards Northwest of the ore stockpile will serve as primary control
for all future survey and location purposes.
A new Mine Manager is now responsible for the Colorado DRMS annual report
submittal, and some of the reclamation areas have been updated. The new map format
and coordinate system should allow for better reclamation accounting from year to year.
Essential information has been included in the 2015 map submittal; however additional
updates and information will be added to the 2016 map submittal as it becomes available.
No reclamation hydro -seeding was conducted in 2015. A reduction in ore
recovery, and the subsequent increase in waste rock, created a need for additional backfill
space behind the active pit. Several acres of backfill and waste dumps are expected to be
graded, topsoiled, and hydro -seeded in 2016.
Haul roads were treated with an environmentally friendly (polymer based -
chloride free) dust suppressant in 2015 and road base material was also replaced on worn
areas of the haul road. The SLR (Synthetic Lignosulfate Replacement) and Polymer
based dust suppressant products were applied the last two years, with mixed results.
Traditional Lignosulfate will be the primary dust suppressant applied in 2016; a product
that was utilized 2 years ago producing good results.
2015.
Approximately 425,000 tons of gypsum rock were shipped from the mine during
2
