Exhibit K — Climate <br />The primary climate at the site is similar throughout the County. Kit Carson County typically has <br />moderate summers, crisp falls, cool winters, and warm springs. We typically have 330 days of sunshine. <br />Rainfall averages between 14-16 inches per year. <br />High Low <br />Avg. Jan Temp: 45 11 <br />Avg. April Temp: 66 31 <br />Avg. Temp: 69 33 <br />Source: 1948-2001 High Plains Regional Climate Center <br />Exhibit L — Reclamation Costs <br />The Beattie Pit is proposed to be 17.50 acres. <br />1) The area of excavation will be mined at a slope of 3:1 . <br />2) Overburden and topsoil will be re-applied to the excavations. <br />3) After the cover crop is established, the grass will be planted as recommended by the local <br />Natural Resource Conservation Service. <br />4) An estimate has not been prepared because this permit is held by a County government that <br />guarantees that they will reclaim the pit. <br />
