COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
NOTICE
December 15, 2015
TO: All Permit Operators
FROM: Anthony Waldron, Minerals Program Supervisor
Re: Electronic Filing of Annual Reports and Fees
The Minerals Program of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) is pleased to announce the
launch of our ePermitting System. The system will be available for filing Minerals and Prospecting Annual
Reports and paying associated Annual Fees, and will be upgraded to include permitting actions in the near future.
The system will allow permittees or their designees to electronically file the required report information, upload
supporting maps and documents (.pdf file format) and pay the required annual fee with a credit card or
Automated Clearing House (ACH) routing information.
The Division, in association with the Colorado Stone, Sand and Gravel Association, will be hosting an
informational webinar on using the ePermitting System on January 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The link to
attend the webinar is:
https://crmca.webex.com/crmca/onstage/g.php?MTID=e74cbf39ac98c24580901fa613bd44c09
(This link will also be available through the Division's Web Page at http://mining.state.co.us)
We are not requiring individuals to register and attendees will just put in their name and email to attend the event.
Beginning in 2016, the Division will enclose an "Agreement to Conduct Permitting by Electronic Means"
(Agreement) with the permittees' Annual Invoice and Report Request. Permittees will be invited to enroll in the
system as annual fees and reports become due each month over the next year. Permittees will need to complete
the Agreement and return it to DRMS for processing. Upon processing, the operator will be emailed a unique
identifying account number for use in sending and receiving information regarding annual reports and fees.
Once you have enrolled in the ePermitting System your account will remain active until all permits associated
with your organization have been terminated. Permittees who have enrolled in the ePermitting System will
receive electronic mail notices for upcoming due dates on future Annual Invoice and Report Requests instead of
hard copy letters via post.
User resources for the ePermitting System, such as written user manuals and video training will be available on
the Division's web site (http://mining.state.co.us) beginning February 1, 2016. Click on "ePermitting" to access
these resources.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact:
Susan Burgmaier (susan.burgmaier@state.co.us - 303-866-3567 x 8111) or
Michael Cunningham(michaela.cunningham@state.co.us - 303-866-3567 x 8116).
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
