Compliance With Mine Plan - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />RN <br /> - Other - Special Categories Of Mining <br />NN <br /> - Processing Waste - Topsoil <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />This was a partial inspection of the Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) on December 17, 2015. Kurtis Blunt representing Colowyo Coal <br />Company (Colowyo) accompained the inspection. The weather was cloudy with intermittent snow fall and ground <br />degrees fahrenheit. Access throughout the mine site was limited due to a recent large snow storm. This inspection <br />was cut short due to access issues with vehicles. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Prospect, Streeter and Gulch A Pond were inspected. Each pond was snow covered and embankments appeared <br />stable. All spillways were functional with no issues observed. No discharge was occurring at any of the ponds <br />during the inspection. <br />Both Gossard loadout ponds were inspection. Both ponds held water and embankments were snow covered. No <br />discharge was occurring at the time of the inspection. Primary and emergency spillways for both ponds were <br />functional with no issues observed. Pond cleaning occurred last month as noted in the November inspection report. <br />Cleanings were taken and disposed of within the mining pit. <br />
