Public Notice Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete application for a technical revision (TR -68) to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-1981-041. The proposed revision will change the postmining land use at the reclaimed Pond 8 area at the Roadside South Portal, from the current approved use of fish and wildlife to commercial, which was the classification prior to mining. The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River and 1-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T1 OS, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 T11S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Section 2 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO.
