PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Seneca Coal Company, LLC, 36600 Routt County Road #27, P.O. Box 670, Hayden, Colorado 81639, on
<br />behalf of the Seneca II West Mine, has filed with the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety
<br />for a Succession of Operators. The application proposes the transfer of Surface Mine Permit No. C-1982-
<br />057, from Seneca Coal Company, LLC to Seneca Properties, LLC. Seneca Coal Company, LLC and Seneca
<br />Properties, LLC are wholly owned subsidiaries of Peabody Energy. No changes to the currently approved
<br />mining and reclamation plan are proposed.

<br />area. No change in land use is associated with this revision.
