<br />Twentymile Coal, LLC (TC), 29515 Roult
<br />County Road 27, Oak Creel, Colorado
<br />80467, has submitted an application for a
<br />Permit Revision (PRI to the Foidel Creek
<br />Mine, Permit Number C-82-056. The revi-
<br />sion (PR15-11) addresses a revision to the
<br />existing approved minting plans to include
<br />development and mining of owned and
<br />leased coal reserves in the Wolf Creek Coal
<br />Seam. These activities will specifically in-
<br />clude ongoirg development and mining of
<br />six longwall panels (or partial panels), devel-
<br />opment of an internal (underground) ventila-
<br />tion and utility shaft, and related ancillary ac-
<br />tivities, including underground dewatering
<br />activities and extension of mine ventilation
<br />arid support systems. This Permit Revision
<br />includes an addition to the Mine Permit Area
<br />of approximately 160 acres.
<br />The current mine permit area encompasses
<br />approximately 22,450 acres, located approx-
<br />imately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat
<br />Springs on Routt County Road 33, and ap-
<br />proximately 7.3 miles northwest of Oak
<br />Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine of-
<br />fices and major surface facilities are located
<br />adjacent to Foidel Creek, near the intersec-
<br />tion of these two roads. The mine permit
<br />area is covered by the Cow Creek, Dunkley,
<br />Milner, Mount Harris, Oak Creek, and Rattle-
<br />snake Butte USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle
<br />maps. The lands affected by the proposed
<br />revision are located in Sections 9, 10, 11, 12,
<br />13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, TSN, R86W; and sur-
<br />face owners for these areas include TC, the
<br />State of Colorado, Ashley Investments, LLC,
<br />and Camilletti &Sons. The affected area un-
<br />der this Permit Revision will extend to within
<br />100 feet of portions of Routt County Road 33
<br />in the SE/4 and S/2 NE/4 Section 14 and the
<br />NW/4 Section 13, T5N, R86W. The Mine
<br />Permit Area includes all or portions of Sec-
<br />tions 7 through 9, T4N, R86W; T5N, R86W,
<br />except Sections 34 through 36; and Sections
<br />13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and 34
<br />through 36, T5N, R87W. The ownership,
<br />precise location, and boundaries of lands
<br />within the Permit are identified on pages
<br />2.03-13 through 2.03-18 and 2.03-22 and
<br />2.03-23.1, and Maps 1 and 2, of the Mine
<br />Permit Application Package (PAP), and are
<br />included in this public notice by reference.
<br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced
<br />Permit Revision application, (less confidential
<br />material) are available for inspection at the
<br />mine office and the office ofthe Colorado Di-
<br />vision of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety.
