Colorado DNR
1313 Sherman St., Rm 215
Denver, Co 80203
M-2015-043
Dear Mr. Erickson
RECEIVED
EC 0 8 2015
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
MINING AND SAFETY
When I bought the mineral rights for the Puma City Mine the advertisement
indicated an adit, while USFS and CO State staff believes it to be a filled
vertical shaft. It is a waste of people's time to continue with the original Plan of
Operations until this discrepancy is resolved. I am submitting a short term POO
to USFS today: If no adit entrance is located, the work area will be immediately
back-filled, and I will seek redress from the seller. If it is an adit, the work area
will be back-filled at the end of this work session, and the Plan of Operations
modified to cover future activities.
I do not believe this action to constitute 'mining', didn't want to 'presume your
prerogatives'.
My interest in mining is as a recreational pursuit, and will need time and
experience to 'get up to speed'. I apparently attempted to start off at a run,
when an incremental approach is more appropriate. I apologize for creating
confusion and think you for your efforts.
David McHugh
